A few ground rules

The simple terms.

Using Mealbench

Mealbench is provided by Springbench, LLC. It is a native app for managing your recipes on Mac and iPhone. These terms describe the service; Apple’s applicable App Store terms and app license also apply to downloads and purchases.

Free use and purchases

You can start with up to 20 recipes and full Mealbench functionality. Mac and iPhone each offer a separate one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited recipes on that platform. There is no Mealbench subscription. Each platform purchase supports Family Sharing.

Launch offers, regional pricing, and taxes are shown in the App Store at purchase. Apple processes payments and handles refund requests under its policies. A purchase on one platform does not include the unlock on the other platform.

Your recipes

Your content remains yours. You are responsible for the content you add, import, or share, including ensuring you have the necessary rights. You can print recipes and export them as PDF, HTML, or Markdown.

iCloud and availability

Your collection uses your devices and your own iCloud account. Apple services, connectivity, and device settings may affect syncing and availability. Keep exports or backups of information that matters to you.

Optional third-party connections

ChatGPT, Claude, and other third-party services are independent of Mealbench. Their own terms, access requirements, fees, and privacy policies apply. Mealbench does not guarantee that a provider can access every recipe source or produce accurate results.

Cooking with care

Review recipes, ingredients, allergens, and cooking instructions before use, especially for imported or generated recipes. Use your own judgment and appropriate food-safety practices.
